Bloemet is a boutique accounting and advisory practice in Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario. Two partners, a CPA with four decades of experience and a business systems builder, work directly with every client. We accept a limited number of clients by application.

01 — The CPA

Four decades in the numbers

Our CPA partner has spent 35–40 years in accounting. Her career runs from retail in South Africa, to gold mining companies in Canada, to financial reporting for a multinational retailer. That is three very different businesses: high-volume stores, capital-heavy mines, and group reporting across borders.

The result is judgment you cannot get from software: knowing which number is wrong before anyone has asked, and what a lender, an auditor or the CRA will want to see.

02 — The systems

Systems that keep the numbers clean

Grant Lee Bloemetje builds business systems. Through his Kitchener studio, Papaya Creative, he designs and builds CRM and admin systems for owner-run businesses: the tools that take an enquiry to a quote, a job, an invoice and a ledger entry without anyone typing it twice.

Most bookkeeping problems start upstream of the books. Fixing them means changing how work flows, not just correcting entries afterwards.

03 — The practice

Why one practice

The usual arrangement leaves a gap: an accountant who sees the numbers once a year, and software nobody set up properly. We put the two halves in one small practice, so the person reviewing your books can also fix what produces them.

We keep it small on purpose. The roster is capped so every client works directly with a partner. No junior hand-offs, no call centre.

Grant Lee Bloemetje

Grant builds the systems a growing business runs on: CRMs, admin panels, quoting and job tools, and the connections between them and the accounting software. He founded Papaya Creative, a web and systems studio in Kitchener, and leads ERP/CRM and systems-optimization work at Bloemet.
