Who we are
Bloemet (Accounting & Advisory) is an accounting and advisory practice based in Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario. This policy explains how we handle personal information collected through bloemet.com. Questions go to contact@bloemet.com.
What we collect
When you send a consultation request we collect what you type into the form: your name, email, optional phone number, business name and type, an optional revenue range, the services you are interested in, and your description of your situation.
Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes technical information such as IP address and browser type to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
How we use it
We use request details only to review and respond to your request, and to prepare a proposal if you ask for one. We do not sell personal information, and we do not add you to a mailing list.
Requests are delivered to our inbox by an email service provider (Resend). If the form cannot send, it opens your own email program instead, and nothing is stored by the website.
Cookies and analytics
We do not currently use analytics or tracking cookies on this site.
Retention
If we do not go on to work together, we delete request details within 24 months. Client records are kept for as long as professional and legal obligations require, including CRA record-keeping rules.
Where it is stored
Our service providers may store or process information outside Canada, including in the United States. When that happens it is subject to the laws of that jurisdiction.
Your rights
You can ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or withdraw consent, by writing to contact@bloemet.com. If you are not satisfied with our response you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Client engagements
Information you share as a client is governed by your engagement letter and by the professional confidentiality obligations that apply to CPAs in Ontario, in addition to this policy.
Changes
We will post any changes to this policy on this page with a new date.
